DejaVu in a totally different way

At 5 pm, Thursday May 21, DJG asked me if I wanted to make some pictures of us together, knowing I'd probably agree, since its something I have been wanting. When I asked if we should change clothes or what his intentions were he told me not to tell our boss that he told me, but that she wanted a nice picture of us to make a wedding announcement and we'd go somewhere nice up on the Summit to eat afterwards.

He drove us up to a Temple up on the mountain which is in a tiny garden. Very picturesque. We had to hurry because the sun was trying to set and I was really having my doubts about getting a good picture, because he had to set up the camera, start the timer, and run and join me for the "snap". He was rather winded and starting to sweat after 2 shots and running would mess up his hair. But it was fun doing the photo shoot anyway.

Then he said he wamted to try a different lens and fiddled around with the camera bag and camera for a little while. When he ran up to me this time, he knelt down on one knee and took my hands and said "I told you I'd do it again when I got a real ring. I love you. Will you marry me?"

    Cold Feet?

    Not really.

But it is getting close now, 2 weeks from today. It will be a very different life.

    I am very very excited.

Here's a few details of the upcoming wedding:

We will leave Birmingham on Tuesday, May 27, and fly to Atlanta and then to Nassau, Bahama's. We will arrive at 12 noon and catch a shuttle to Paradise Island. Riu Paradise Island Resort is where we will be staying. The next day they will take us to get our marriage license. Then on Friday, May 30, at 2 pm on the terrace of the Riu, we will have our private ceremony. The weddding package includes music, flowers, the judge and witnesses, cake, reception dinner, pictures, etc. Everything (and more) than we need.

I wish you all could be there to support us, but this will be something to remember! (And I'll post lots of pictures.)
