My favorite time of year I guess!

 

I spend all my free time outside now. So far, I have planted 12 Arborvitae, 5 cleyera, 2 camelia, 2 althea, several potted plants, and some cherry tomatoes and peppers. I also moved a snowball bush that I already had today. It is starting to look good around here, if I do say so myself.

 

I am mainly working on a living fence to separate me from my neighbors. On one side is a junky house and I want to hide the view. The one on the other is just too close: shaking hands distance.

 

My lawn mower has been acting up lately and today I asked DJG to take a look at it. After he got through with it, it wouldn't even start! And then as he pulled with a little frustration, the rope broke again. I believe I am going to just buy a new one tomorrow.

 

Spring always brings surprises. Especially when you are living in a new house and it is your first spring there. I have tulips! Something I've never had before, and they are beautiful.

 

This spring also brought me my first grandchild! Hunter is 3 weeks old. He was born prematurely on March 12 and weighed in at only 2.8 pounds at one week old. He and Daughter #2 are doing well.
